Parallel programming

Purpose of the course. The aim of the course is to provide a sufficient amount of knowledge for a successful start in the field of parallel programming for multiprocessor computing systems of mathematical models, methods and technologies.

What this course gives.
The set of knowledge and skills presented in the course provides a theoretical basis for developing complex programs. Topics covered in this course: goals and problems of parallel data processing, principles of building parallel computing systems, principles of modeling and analysis of parallel computing, principles of creating parallel algorithms and programs, systems for creating parallel programs, creating parallel numerical algorithms for solving computational mathematics.

Practical application of the course.
Currently, single-core processors are being replaced by multi-core ones, and the possibility of creating parallel programs is coming to the fore. This course will provide an understanding of the practical skills of developing parallel programs and will help students work in this area in the future.
