Republican scientific conference "2017 - Year of Islamic solidarity: realities, perspectives" held at BSU
25/04/2017A republican scientific conference "2017 - Year of Islamic solidarity: realities, perspectives" has been held at BSU. Rector, academician Abel Maharramov stressed the importance of declaration of 2017 a Year of Islamic Solidarity, signed by President Ilham Aliyev. “By being elected as the member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, ISESCO, as well as other prestigious organizations Azerbaijan established mutually fruitful relations with the Muslim world. Azerbaijan also acted as an organizer of the several important global cultural forums”, he added.
The event was attended by Kamal Abdullayev, State Counsellor of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Multiculturalism, İnterethnic and Religious Affairs, Mubariz Gurbanli, Chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, academician Vasim Mammadaliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Theology of BSU, Rabiyyat Aslanova, Head of the Department of History of Philosophy and Culturology (BSU) and other officials.
About 200 papers and reports were presented at the sessions of the conference.
